Alie and amelia

In this episode, Melody interviews Alie, a young, Southern California mom who's minimilistic, loves organization, creativity, cooking and food and who's already been through a lot in her life.  She teaches us about perspective and priorities, how to have hope through pain and sorrow.  Some of the take aways from this episode:

-See the beauty in the world around us

-Sometimes we have to make adaptations to get through life and that's just a part of life

-Organization can often help us feel more peace in our home; have a place (or home) for each of your belongings

-Kids are incredible and can do amazing things even when they're really little

-You never know what someone may be going through, when Alie was only 20 weeks pregnant they found out devastating news about their baby.  Be gentle with the people you come into contact with; they may be going through one of the hardest experiences of their life.

-Grief is different for everyone.  We are all different and have different needs; if you're grieving, try a variety of methods of coping.

-Be open; you're story may be just the one another needs to hear to have their hearts touched and uplifted.

-Minimalism helps us to prioritize and put experiences and relationships over material items.
